Police searching for missing man

Statesboro police are searching for a man who has gone missing, Public Safety Director Wendell Turner said in a news release issued Thursday afternoon.
Police were notified at 10 p.m. Wednesday that Julius O'Neal Owens, 27, had been missing since 2 p.m. Monday.
Police received information that Owens was last seen driving a white Chevrolet TrailBlazer in the area of Lanier Drive on Wednesday night. The vehicle has a Georgia tag No. BQR0763.

He has paranoid schizophrenia and usually checks in daily with his mother, but she has not heard from him since Wednesday, Statesboro police said in a Nixle alert.

Owens is described as black with a medium complexion, 6 feet, 175 pounds, with black hair (low haircut) and brown eyes. No clothing description was available.
