Statesboro Police Arrests
Cordero Richard Schalk, 18, Brannen Hall, Georgia Southern University – theft by shoplifting.
Garrett C. Murdoch, 19, Tallybrook Drive, Kennesaw – failure to maintain lane, DUI under 21, underage possession of alcohol.
Derrel Eugene Speight, 44, Chances Mobile Home Park – second offense driving with a suspended license, failure to maintain lane, open container, DUI (refused test).
Debra Bowen Herrington, 54, First Street, Midway – aggressive driving.
Sean Dorick Lee, 32, North Main Street – disorderly conduct, public intoxication.
Bulloch Sheriff's Arrests
Tuesday and Wednesday arrests will be published Friday.
Georgia State Patrol Arrests
Troopers issued 20 traffic violation citations Tuesday.
Georgia Southern University Arrests
Officers issued four traffic violation citations Tuesday.
Kernard Maurice Blount, 18, Butler Homes – criminal trespass and obstruction of an officer.
Statesboro Police Incidents
MAXWAY – A woman was caught stealing a dress, and fled when store employees recovered it.
STATESBORO MALL – A woman approached her cousins to talk, but her uncle began shouting and being irate, telling her he did not like her side of the family and to stay away. The woman told police he frightened her with some comments he made.
BUTLER HOMES – A woman and her daughter argued over taking the granddaughter to school.
SEASONS OF JAPAN – An employee told police the manager pushed and hit him.
PACKINGHOUSE/OLLIF STREET – Police recovered a silver Honda Civic stolen from Savannah.
DELUXE INN – A man refused to leave and pushed the inn owner down after striking him.
WAL-MART – A man removed gum, a BT adapter and jump drive from packages and concealed them without paying. Also, two juvenile girls were caught stealing cosmetics.
BUDGET INN – Someone ran into a room door with a vehicle. In a separate incident, a man was arrested after a woman complained that he was cruel to her dog. His charges were disorderly conduct and public intoxication.
DENMARK STREET – A mother and daughter were involved in a domestic dispute.
EAGLE GATE APARTMENTS – A TV, lap top, and computer tower were stolen after someone kicked in a door.
FARMERS & MERCHANTS BANK – A man unsuccessfully tried cashing a fraudulent check for more than $1,600.
WILBURN CIRCLE – A woman said her daughter pushed her and grabbed her, She went outside and called for someone to call police. Officers arrived and questioned the daughter about her mother outside crying, and the daughter said she had just moved in to take care of her mother and had not harmed her.
MADISON MEADOWS – A purse, wallet and $367 were stolen during a gathering at the complainant’s house.
CARVER STREET – A tenant reported CDs, $300, shoes, clothing, Blue Ray DVDs, a TV, Xbox, games and accessories; Playstation 3, games and accessories and more were stolen in a burglary.
Bulloch County Sheriff's Incidents
LANDINGS PARKWAY – (Statesboro) two laptop computers and a TV were taken in a burglary.
LANGSTON CHAPEL ROAD – (Statesboro) A woman said she heard noises and saw several men outside her home, running into the woods, and saw that her fence was knocked down.
CLITO ROAD – (Clito) A man reported a fence cut.
BRUISER CIRCLE – (Statesboro) A deputy responded to several complaints about a loud crowd and music.
BIRCH COURT – (Brooklet) A man and woman argued over a cell phone, and the dispute became physical.
KENNEDY BRIDGE ROAD – (Register) A man said he and another man were approached by a man they knew who ordered them out of their car. When they refused, the offender pointed a shotgun with a pistol grip at them.
LANIER DRIVE – (Statesboro) A man tried paying for gas with a counterfeit $20 bill. He said he got the bill from his mother.
ELDORA CEMETERY ROAD – (Ellabell) An unknown person struck a rose bush and handicap rail at Eldora Baptist Church.
OAK HILL MOBILE HOME PARK – (Clio) A man, separated from his wife, was in his home when his wife came in and accused him of infidelity.
POPLAR SPRINGS CHURCH ROAD – (Portal) A woman reported a suspicious man knocking on her door.
SOUTHEAST BULLOCH MIDDLE SCHOOL – (Brooklet)The school principal told deputies a juvenile had been sending harassing text messages to another juvenile.
Georgia State Patrol Incidents
Troopers issued 20 warnings, performed four road checks, assisted one motorist and investigated two crashes with two reported injuries Tuesday.
Georgia Southern University Incidents
Officers issued three traffic warnings, assisted three motorists, assisted two sick persons, responded to six alarms and investigated two accidents Tuesday.
F-LOT – Someone reported a bicycle stolen.
RECREATION ACTIVITY CENTER – A laptop computer was reported stolen.
UNIVERSITY VILLAS – Someone reported a domestic dispute.
