INCIDENTS

➤ Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office 

▲ BILLY MIKELL ROAD — Deputies and investigators responded to a call about an attempted aggravated assault.

▲ SIEBALD STREET — A woman told deputies her estranged husband came to her workplace to ask about their children and did not like her response. He followed her all over town until she stopped at her mother's workplace, she said.

▲ LEEFIELD STATION ROAD — Deputies, along with firefighters, responded to a fire caused by a dryer.

▲ SEED TICK ROAD — Two people were arrested on criminal trespass charges for damaging a house.

▲ GO BAR LANDING — A man was arrested after running his vehicle into a ditch. He was charged with several drug violations, including cocaine possession.

▲ JESSICA LANE — A man said another woman came with his ex-girlfriend to gather belongings after a break-up of living together. The other female threw a flower pot at his vehicle, causing damage.

▲ GLAZEBROOK AVENUE — A man reported a burglary during which someone ransacked and damaged his home while he was away for the summer. They took a TV and other items.

▲ HIGHWAY 119/BLACK CREEK BRIDGE — A deputy responded to a call about a man who allegedly jumped off the bridge and was injured. The man denied trying to harm himself but admitted having used illegal drugs and having suicidal thoughts. He said he fell off the bridge and had been walking for two days. Deputies noted in reports he was dirty. The man asked to be taken for help and was transported to the emergency room.

▲ SHUMAN ROAD — Two juveniles who were fighting were arrested. The incident took place at Marcella’s Community group home.

▲ HIGHWAY 301 SOUTH — A man told deputies his son stole an air conditioner and was using methamphetamine. He said there was drug evidence and ammunition in the son’s room. He called back later to tell deputies he found the air conditioner, which the son had not stolen but had installed in the complainant’s basement.

▲ LANGSTON CHAPEL/JOHN PROCTOR ROADS — During an argument, a woman exited a car and walked away, but a man in the car followed her. She called 911 for help.


➤ Statesboro Police Department

▲ EAGLE COURT CONDOS — A woman reported someone removed a screen from her window.

▲ JOHNSON STREET — Police responded to a domestic argument and separated parties involved.

▲ LANIER DRIVE — Two people who struck each other during an argument were separated but not arrested.

In a different case with other people, someone reported being harassed via communications (phone calls).

In yet another incident, a woman told police she fought physically with her former boyfriend’s new girlfriend.

▲ JOHNSON STREET — A person involved in a domestic dispute was charged with simple battery.

▲ STATESBORO PLACE CIRCLE — A man who showed up at an apartment where no one knew him refused to leave. He was arrested.

▲ INSTITUTE STREET — A man caught two people in an apartment that was supposed to be empty.

▲ DOLLAR TREE/FAIR ROAD — A person who fled after stealing $37 worth of consumable goods was caught and arrested on shoplifting charges. Because it was a fourth offense, the charges were felony.

▲ EAST MAIN STREET — Officers responded to a domestic dispute that did not lead to arrests.

▲ NORTH ZETTEROWER AVENUE — Someone argued over money owed and called police.

▲ WAL-MART SUPERCENTER — Someone tried to shoplift $275 in consumable goods and $225 in other merchandise but fled when loss prevention stopped them.

▲ GROOVER HOMES — Officers responded to a domestic dispute and simple battery incident.


➤ Georgia State Patrol Post 45

▲ Last week, troopers responded to 17 crashes with six reported injuries. 

▲ Troopers arrested 18 drivers on DUI charges and issued eight citations and six warnings for seatbelt violations, one citation for child restraint violations, and 30 citations and 27 warnings for speeding.


➤ Georgia Southern University Police 

▲ Officers issued five traffic citations and five traffic warnings and assisted one motorist.
