Incidents
    JARRARD PRE-OWNED VEHICLES — A man harassed a female employee by bringing her unwanted and unsolicited gifts.
    CHINESE KITCHEN — A man followed victims into the restaurant, screaming racial slurs, and struck one with a screwdriver.
    THE POINTE AT SOUTHERN — A TV, Xbox, laptop computer, games, Army rucksack, iPod, socks, shoes and clothing were stolen.
    EAST MAIN STREET — A laptop computer, jewelry, and $20 in change were stolen.
GREENBRIAR TRAIL — A .270-caliber rifle with scope, pellet rifle, watch, Xbox and games and Yeti cooler were stolen.
    EAST MAIN STREET — A woman received 16 texts threatening her with harm.
    WALMART — Someone stole $36 worth of food from the deli over a two week period.

Incidents
    KENNEDY BRIDGE ROAD — (Register) An emergency dispatcher received a call from a woman identifying herself, claiming she “did something bad” by shooting and killing her uncle, whom she identified, because he raped her. Deputies responded to the location the caller gave, after she said she was in the bathroom with the gun and needed EMS. A man and his elderly mother were there and said no one needed EMS, they didn’t know the caller by the name she gave, and the man she listed as her uncle (whom she said she shot) lived in Statesboro. Another brother told deputies he heard gunshots around his home but deputies found nothing despite hours of searching.
    MAY ROAD — (Ellabell) A couple argued, resulting in several trips to the residence by deputies. The husband admitted breaking his wife’s phone because she was smoking marijuana, and she was arrested for marijuana possession. He was arrested for breaking her phone. In another incident a fight ensued with a third party and someone was injured when a cup was thrown.
    OLNEY STATION DRIVE — (Ellabell) A man threatened to drug the mother of his son so she would lose her job. He also threatened to take the child and leave the state.
In a separate incident, a man became angry when his wife returned from work and their son got out of bed to kiss her goodnight. An argument ensued about a Facebook post as well.
    BUCK HENDRIX ROAD — (Statesboro) A man reported the theft of two truck rear ends.
    MARIA SORRELL ROAD — (Clito) A man and his mother argued over his using her Facebook account. He struck her in the head, she said.

GEORGIA STATE PATROL POST 45
Arrests
    Between Friday and Sunday, troopers issued five seat belt citations, eight speeding citations, 23 total citations.

Incidents
    Between Friday and Sunday, troopers investigated 12 crashes with three injuries; stopped 42 vehicles; patrolled 1,359 miles; issued five seat belt warnings, 17 speeding warnings and 33 total warnings; and assisted two motorists.

GEORGIA SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY POLICE
Arrests
    Officers issued two traffic citations Friday through Sunday.
    Ethan Calvin Sikes, 20, Southern Villas — criminal trespass.
    Rene David Morales, 19, Rifle Road, Fort Stewart — underage possession of alcohol.
    Devin Berry, 20, Rifle Road, Fort Stewart — underage possession of alcohol, possession of false ID, disorderly conduct.
    Kayla Ann Brown, 21, Bermuda Run Road, — public drunkenness.
 
Incidents
    Officers issued three parking citations, seven warnings, assisted five motorists between Friday and Sunday.
    CENTENNIAL PLACE — Officers responded to a complaint of a gas smell. Some heavy-duty batteries were found to be malfunctioning and emitting a strong smell.  Statesboro Fire Department responded with a hazardous—materials unit and removed the batteries.  The building was cleared by SFD and entry admitted.
