STATESBORO POLICE DEPARTMENT
Arrests
    Romano Tyrone Young, 36, Johnson Street — suspended license, headlights violation, seat belt violation and child restraint violation.
    Paul Lambert, 25, Burton Ferry Road, Sylvania — wanted person.

Incidents
    EAST JONES AVENUE — A man and woman argued over household chores.
    WALMART — A fight occurred after a man was hit by a car door.
    CLAIRBORNE AVENUE — Someone stole $100 from one car and $250 from another.
    SANDY WAY — A metal detector was stolen from a car.
    SPLASH IN THE BORO — A man said a teenage boy made insulting and inappropriate physical contact with his teenage daughter.
    PARK PLACE APARTMENTS — Several people, including juveniles, argued and fought over money.

Incidents
    U.S. 301 SOUTH — (Statesboro) A woman said two men stole a salad bar. They were arrested at Allied Metals.
    CAMPBELL LANE — (Statesboro) A man reported falling for a lottery/fictitious check scam.
    ZIP’N GAS & GO — (Denmark) A woman said the store manager cursed her and accused her children of stealing.
    U.S. 80 EAST — (Statesboro) A woman said a drunk man walked in, slammed a pizza down on the counter and cursed at her. He said he would not leave until she called the law, and deputies later arrested him on drunken driving charges after he did leave.
    CYPRESS LAKE MOBILE HOME PARK — (Register) A woman said a man was in her yard, and after he and several males banged on her door asking for her boyfriend, this one man pulled up his shirt and pranced around.
    U.S. 301 SOUTH — A woman told deputies she is being harassed by a woman whose husband is sponsored by the complainant in a narcotics rehabilitation group. The offender told deputies the sponsor/complainant has messaged her husband 87 times in two weeks, calls but will not speak when the offender answers, and said she should not be his sponsor anyway because she has not been sober long enough herself. The complainant said she feared the wife of the person she sponsors would cause her bodily harm.

Arrests
    Officers issued one traffic citation Friday, five Saturday and three Sunday.
    Mehmet F. Samiratedu, 51, Crabapple Court — theft by conversion.
    Raphael Darmico Hayward, 27, Gravel Pit Road, Augusta — DUI and window tint violation.
    Kerri Andrew Johnson, 30, College Street — probation violation.
    Jose Manuel Carrasquillo-Jimenez, 20, U.S. Highway 80 West, was charged with DUI and headlight requirements.

Incidents
    FRIDAY — Officers issued seven traffic warnings, responded to three alarms, assisted two motorists and investigated one accident.
    SATURDAY — Officers issued three traffic warnings and responded to one alarm.
    SUNDAY — Officers assisted two motorists.
