STATESBORO POLICE DEPARTMENT
Arrests
    Shaniqua Shanice Hammet, 22, West Grady Street — seat belt violation, suspended license.
    Ray Anthony McLemore, 52, South Main Street — wanted person, theft by taking, criminal trespass.
    Willie Rufus Key, 61, Chances Trailer Park — theft by taking, criminal trespass.
Benjamin John Dias, 23, Pear Orchard Road — marijuana possession.
    Julius Travis, 55, Shuman Drive — suspended license, improper passing.

Incidents
    CHECKERS — A man tried to enter the building through the drive-through window during an argument about a break-up with his partner, who worked there.
    MATHEWS ROAD — Police found juveniles out after curfew, driving a stolen golf cart.
    UNIVERSITY PLAZA — A man said he was attacked by several unknown men.
    SOUTH WALNUT STREET — A stove and two refrigerators were stolen.
    STADIUM WALK APARTMENTS — An iPod and radar detector were stolen from a vehicle.
    AKIN STREET — A man said it appears someone has been sleeping in an abandoned residence.
    WEST JONES AVENUE — A woman and her daughter argued over groceries. The daughter was moving out and wanted to take groceries, but the mother would not allow it.
    LITTLE LOTTS CREEK APARTMENTS — Two men were damaging a woman’s cable box. When she confronted them they claimed to work for the cable company, but left in a Chevrolet Tahoe.  Police caught them and found stolen cable equipment in the vehicle, and arrested both men. One was already wanted on outstanding warrants.
