Police Report - 7-27-12: Someone stole $800 in coins from a residence.

STATESBORO POLICE DEPARTMENT
Arrests
    Andrew Thomas Pate, 31, Hodges Lane — stop sign violation, suspended license.
    Robyn Collette Thomas, 21, Whispering Pine Boulevard — suspended license, no proof of insurance, defective headlights.
    John Spencer Bryant, 23, Hart Street — DUI, failure to stop.

Incidents
    EASON STREET — A woman caught another female calling her husband’s cellphone and she confronted him. He “knew he was caught in a lie” so he grabbed a knife. When the woman started looking for a weapon the man fled on a bike.
    RENTOWN — A man threatened a woman but left when she called police.
    EAGLE CREEK TOWNHOUSES — A woman reported a wallet and contents taken from a car.
    MILL CREEK PARK — A woman received a text from someone inviting her to meet for a fight at her place of choice.
    WILLOW BEND APARTMENTS — Police responded to a complaint and asked apartment tenants if they had been smoking marijuana. Apparently the downstairs neighbors complained that the smoke was coming through the vents.
    RAMBLE ROAD — An Apple iPod and waterproof case were stolen from a car.
    THE AVENUE AT SOUTHERN — Video games and a Sony PlayStation 3 were stolen.

    Sabrina Ashley Burney, 22, Lantern Lane, Mableton — simple battery.
    Bennie Kyle Carter, 45, D. Anderson Road, Register — probation violation, obstruction.
    Joshua Carey Dunn, 41, Williamsburg Drive, Gulf Point, Miss. — felony theft by taking.
    William Freeman Gerrald III, 17, St. Andrews Street, Sylvania — felony theft by taking.
    Timothy Rivera Holmes, 47, Lockett Drive, Register — fleeing/attempt to elude, failure to yield to emergency vehicle, speeding, improper passing.
    Susie Hope Stevenson, 43, Mud Road, Brooklet — truancy.
    Chrisma Kantrice Walker, 28, Packinghouse Road — theft by shoplifting.
    Zachary James Abell, 20, Treetop Circle — underage possession of alcohol, failure to signal turn.

Incidents
    LEE AVENUE — (Brooklet) Two men argued over bills and made threats.
    JOHN PROCTOR ROAD — (Statesboro) A woman said her ex-boyfriend struck her in the face and made her exit his vehicle. He was angry because she was seeing someone else.
    GEORGIA HIGHWAY 24 — (Statesboro) Someone stole $800 in coins from a residence.

Arrests
    Officers issued two traffic citations Wednesday.

Incidents
    OLYMPIC BOULEVARD -  Officers responded to a false alarm at the Phi Mu house. 
    SOUTHERN PINES — Officers responded to a call about a stolen bike.  The case has been turned over to the Criminal Investigations Division.
Officers responded to Southern Pines in reference to unknown persons screaming loudly. Officers searched the area but did not locate anyone screaming or requiring law enforcement assistance.
    CHANDLER ROAD —Officers assisted the Statesboro Police Department in reference to an armed robbery that occurred off campus at the Zip-N-Go.

    Central 911 dispatchers issued the following calls Wednesday:
    Bulloch County Sheriff’s Department — 18 calls.
    Statesboro Police Department — 15 calls.
    Georgia Southern University Police — one call.
Georgia State Patrol - four calls.
    Candler County Sheriff’s Department — five calls.
    Evans County Sheriff’s Department — three calls.
    Claxton Police Department — one call.
 
Fire Department Reports
    Central 911 dispatchers issued the following calls Wednesday:
    Statesboro Fire Department - one call. 
    Bulloch County Volunteer Firefighters - no calls.
    Metter Fire Department — five calls.
    Claxton Fire Department — one call.

Emergency Medical Service Reports
 Central 911 dispatchers issued the following calls Wednesday:
    Bulloch County EMS — 22 medical calls.
Candler County EMS — six medical calls.
    Evans County EMS — one accident call and four medical calls.
 
    Central 911 dispatchers also routed the following calls Wednesday: two calls to Air Transport, two calls to Bryan County 911, a call to Emanuel County 911, two calls to Bulloch First Responders and a call to the Bulloch County coroner.
