ARRESTS
Statesboro Police, Bulloch County Sheriff, Georgia Southern University and Georgia State Patrol arrests made Friday through Sunday will be reported Tuesday.
   
Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office
    Anthony Victor Brown, 27, West Inman Street — no insurance.
    John Hardy Combs, 32, Big Bay Boulevard, Ellabell — marijuana possession.
    Ronald Jason Hamilton, 38, Kilcrease Road, Bethlehem — possession of a Schedule IV, Schedule II and Schedule III controlled substance with intent to distribute; fleeing/attempt to elude, reckless driving, unauthorized distribution of drugs, theft by taking, license violations, wanted person.
    John Edward Swearingain Jr., 37, Knob Creek Road, Ellabell — no insurance, suspended license, illegal possession of Xanax, simple battery.
    Weldon Tredell Watts, 24, Lanier Drive — suspended license.
    Ronnie Williams, 51, Soloman Circle — wanted person.
    Catherine Melody Fail, 22, Oakwood Drive — obstruction, criminal trespass, hindering the apprehension of a criminal.
    Ashley Forshaley Cook, 32, Lockett Drive, Register — probation violation, obstruction, criminal trespass.

INCIDENTS
Statesboro Police, Bulloch County Sheriff, Georgia Southern University and Georgia State Patrol incidents occurring Friday through Sunday will be reported Tuesday.

Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office
    LANGSTON CHAPEL ROAD — (Statesboro) A man received a fraudulent check as payment for furniture he sold on Craigslist.
    VETERANS MEMORIAL PARKWAY/U.S. HIGHWAY 301 NORTH — A deputy saw a woman strike a man twice. The man said she was his baby’s mother and was hitting him because she wanted to see his cellphone and see who he had been talking to.

Bulloch County Animal Shelter
    The shelter reported the following activity during the week of July 8-14:
    Surrendered by citizens — four dogs and 13 cats from rural county areas; four dogs and three cats from City of Statesboro.
    Collected by officers — nine dogs and 12 cats from rural county areas; nine dogs and three cats from City of Statesboro.
    Adopted from shelter — three dogs and two cats.
    Reclaimed by owners — one dog.
    Died at shelter — two dogs and seven cats.
    Euthanized — 21 dogs and 20 cats.
    Fees collected — $395.
