Police Report - 7-17-12: A business owner found a suspected marijuana plant growing behind an eatery

STATESBORO POLICE
Arrests
    Anthony Martin Miller, 44, Cicada Drive, Milledgeville — too fast for conditions, suspended license.
    Amanda Jacquleen Grimmick, 26, Creekside Drive, Ellabell — theft by shoplifting.
    Amy Michelle Harris, 29, Creekside Drive, Ellabell — theft by shoplifting.
    Brenda Sue Bowler, 50, U.S. Highway 301 North — theft by shoplifting.

Incidents
    WALMART — Two women stole rice cookers, clothes steamers, repair kits, laundry hampers, camouflage tape, baby monitors, coupon folders, emergency kits, fire logs, lint rollers, tool sets, toothbrushes, incense holders, condoms and DVDs.
    CINDY LANE — A man and woman argued because he didn’t want her to see her daughter, and she refused to make him coffee.
    PARK PLACE APARTMENTS — An Xbox 360 and other accessories were stolen.
    STOCKYARD ROAD — Someone stole 200 yards of electrical wiring from the old Robbins Packing Co. building.
    JAMES STREET — A woman said three men jumped her and attacked her, causing visible injuries.
    MR. OMELETTE — The business owner found what she suspects to be a marijuana plant growing behind the restaurant.
    DUNKIN’ DONUTS — A man and woman were acting suspiciously. The woman kept peering into the cash register till, and the man was carrying a gun that was visible.
    ST. CHARLES APARTMENTS — A woman said someone stole her Xanax.

Arrests
    Miguel Trevas Scott, 36, Atlanta — DUI (refused test).
From Friday through Sunday, troopers issued three seat belt citations, three child restraint citations, 16 speeding citations and 34 total citations.

Incidents
    From Friday through Sunday, troopers investigated five accidents with one injury; made 70 vehicle stops; patrolled 2,086 miles; issued three child restraint warnings, 34 speeding warnings, located one wanted person, and assisted four motorists.
