Police Report, 7-14-15: Woman arrested after shoplifting Minnie Mouse pajama pants, other items

Incidents reported Friday through Sunday:

WAL-MART SUPERCENTER – A woman was arrested after shoplifting women’s underwear, socks, Minnie Mouse pajama pants, a head wrap, lanyard, earrings, and a hair brush.

In a separate incident, a woman who had been served with a criminal trespass warning in February for the store was found in the garden center. She was arrested.

In another incident, a man was arrested for shoplifting $75 worth of cleaning items, about $50 worth of clothing, $10 worth of food, an X-box system card, and a TV.

A separate incident report states a man escaped after shoplifting a Georgia Southern University tee shirt, a video disc, GSU hat and a power cell charger. Store employees provided video and a photo of the man, whose identity is known.

In yet another incident, a man physically attacked another man and took a woman’s merchandise, tossing it all over the parking lot, before fleeing. He was later apprehended during a traffic stop and arrested.

GORDON STREET – A man told police he fell from a car and cut his arm, but witnesses said they saw him being struck by the car. EMS treated him at the scene.

BULLOCH MENTAL HEALTH/N. COLLEGE STREET – A woman caught two men trying to break into her car. They fled and nothing was stolen.

ELKS LODGE/JAMES STREET – Police are investigating an incident they listed as an aggravated assault after a man reported witnessing a fight between two men. The report lists a gun as a weapon but made no reference to a weapon in a description of the incident.

Around the same time (2:51 a.m. Saturday) a man told police he was robbed of a dollar in the bathroom at gunpoint. Reports did not list a description of the alleged robber.

AUTO SHINE CAR WASH – Witnesses said an employee and manager argued, when the employee pulled a knife. Witnesses made the offender leave, and one man who tried to break up the fight suffered a small scrape to the stomach by the knife.
