Metter Police Department
    NORTH LEWIS STREET — May 26, police responded to an entering auto call.
    TURNER STREET — Police responded to a report of cruelty to children May 26.
    SOUTHEAST BROAD STREET — Someone reported a simple battery incident May 28.
    LEE STREET — May 28, someone reported a theft.
    SOUTH LEROY STREET — Police investigated a sexual battery incident May 29.
    BROAD STREET — Police responded to a call May 29 involving suspects who fled, were arrested on drug charges, and obstruction.

Bulloch County Animal Shelter
    The shelter reported the following activity during the week of: May 26-31.
    Surrendered by citizens  — three dogs and eight cats from rural county; one dog and four cats from City of Statesboro.
    Collected by officers —  seven dogs and nine cats from rural county areas; four cats from City of Statesboro.
    Adopted from shelter — three dogs.
    Reclaimed by owners — no animals.
    Died at shelter — 13 cats.
    Euthanized — 10 dogs and 10 cats.
    Fees collected — $ 442.50
