Incidents
CORE CREDIT UNION/BRAMPTON AVENUE - A person passed four fraudulent checks, but it was determined that the offender was victim of a scam and lost a substantial amount of money.
COLLEGE BOULEVARD - Friday, a man reported the theft of a Kimber bull barrel .22 target rifle, Ruger .45 stainless steel handgun, a cell phone, and ring of keys from his home and vehicle.
HUNNICUTT DRIVE - A woman reported damage to her property.
PARK AVENUE - A man reported an attempted break-in Friday.
MIKELL STREET - A man was arrested after striking a woman and scratching her face in the presence of a three-year-old child.
PARK PLACE APARTMENTS - A man told police someone had broken into his home and was hiding inside, but police found no evidence of such.
BELK - A woman stole three Michael Kors purses, total value of $584 and two Polo tops valued at $180 for both.
SOUTHERN DOWNS - Sunday, someone reported a karaoke machine stolen during a burglary.
EAGLE VILLA TOWNHOUSES - A man was arrested in a hit-and-run incident involving a pedestrian.
PARK PLACE APARTMENTS - A woman reported a man brandished a gun at her and threatened her Sunday. Police did not locate the alleged offender.
MORRIS HEIGHTS - Witnesses said a man came to a woman's apartment, pointed a gun at her and demanded to know the whereabouts of another male. Police continued to search for the known offender Monday, according to police radio reports.
SOUTH COLLEGE STREET - Sunday, a woman told police a friend threw her to the ground and hit her.
