Police Report 4-8-12 - A woman fell victim to a scam by cashing fraudulent money orders

ARRESTS
Statesboro Police, Bulloch County Sheriff, Georgia Southern University, and Georgia State Patrol arrests made Friday through Sunday will be reported Tuesday.

Statesboro Police
    Deaven L. Stacy, 22, Lanier Drive – wanted person.
    Savannah Finch, 23, Chapel Road – suspended license, tag light violation.
    Gerald B. Blocker, 8, Old Highway 250, Glennville – wanted person.
    Jeffrey Ryan Grabe, 20, Nassau Drive – DUI under 21, headlights violation, failure to maintain lane.

INCIDENTS
Statesboro Police, Bulloch County Sheriff, Georgia Southern University, and Georgia State Patrol incidents occurring Friday through Sunday will be reported Tuesday.

    INSTITUTE STREET – Officers met with a man who said he was robbed by people selling drugs. However, officers stated the man appeared to be under the influence of drugs himself. A search of the home revealed a stolen.22 rifle, which was returned to the owner, and no arrests were made.
    RAMBLE ROAD – A woman fell victim to a scam by cashing fraudulent money orders and sending cash back to the scam artists. The scam offered opportunities to be a “mystery shopper.”
    CAMPUS CROSSINGS – A woman showed police where a man texted her and messaged her 80 times in a short period of time after she asked him to leave her alone.
