Police report - 4-16-15; A man stopped for a traffic violation tried hiding marijuana in his mouth.

    April Nicole Moore, 23, Old Hardy Place Road —  defective taillight, driving with no license, obstruction.

    RUSTY’S TAVERN — Around 1:20 a.m. Wednesday, a man was struck in the face and rendered unconscious. He awoke when EMS arrived and denied treatment. He also signed a waiver of prosecution.
    HERTY DRIVE — An officer stopped a woman for speeding Tuesday, and after she used “profane language at a considerable volume,” a charge of disorderly conduct was added.
    LAKEVIEW ROAD — An officer stopped a woman for a taillight violation and learned she was unlicensed. She resisted getting into the patrol car after her arrest, so he charged her with obstruction as well.
    THE MASON JAR —  Tuesday, a woman told police an ex-employee used the complainant’s personal account to make an insurance payment. The former employee claimed it was a mistake and offered to repay the amount.

    James Richard Best, 37, Quail Ridge Road, Sylvania — felony suspended or revoked license.
    Rowdy James Brown, 22, Lanier Drive — giving false information, obstruction, marijuana possession, felony theft by receiving stolen property (handgun), possession of drug-related objects.
    Deontae Markeem Coker, 24, Chandler Road — marijuana possession, speeding.
    Lamoine Curtis, 32, North Street — marijuana possession.
    Kenneth Eugene Herman, 57, Lilla Myers Road, Ellabell — violation of a family violence protective order.
    Malcolm Jerome Steele, 31, Elm Street — marijuana purchase, possession, manufacture or sale; obstruction; criminal street gang activity.

    VETERAN’S MEMORIAL PARKWAY/PINEMOUNT BOULEVARD — A man stopped for a traffic violation tried hiding marijuana in his mouth, but deputies made him open up and saw the “green, flaky substance.” He told deputies it was nothing and tried swallowing, but when more marijuana was found in the vehicle after a K9 officer alerted to the presence of drugs, he was arrested.

    Officers issued six traffic violation citations Tuesday.

    Officers issued four traffic warnings and assisted six motorists Tuesday.
