Police report, 3/21/19
After several calls about a woman’s leg hanging from a car trunk, deputies learned the woman was sleeping in the trunk because they had run out of gas. A man in the car was arrested for outstanding warrants.

▲ ARCOLA ROAD — A woman said someone at church gave another church member her phone number. The offender started texting the complainant with personal problems, and then left voicemails, screaming “It wasn’t me” and blaming the congregation for a mysterious incident the offender did not specify.

▲ ARENA BOULEVARD — The site manager of the Bulloch County Arena reported the theft of an undisclosed item, stolen from the property under construction.

▲ OLD DILL ROAD — A man reported his daughter came home from school to find a door and window unlocked that had been locked when she left that morning.

▲ BILL FUTCH ROAD — After several calls about a woman’s leg hanging from a car trunk, deputies learned the woman was sleeping in the trunk because they had run out of gas. A man in the car was arrested for outstanding warrants. Deputies also found a small amount of marijuana in the car.

▲ AKINS CIRCLE — A man said another man held a gun and ordered him to leave during an argument. The offender said he did not point the gun at the complainant.

▲ WAL-MART SUPERCENTER — An employee watched a man swap his old shoes for a new pair, then try to leave without paying. She called police, who cited the man.

In a separate case, an employee saw a woman at a self-checkout station fail to scan three items totaling $26. Police cited the woman for theft by shoplifting.

▲ SOUTHERN DIVE CENTER — A man reported a window broken.

▲ COLLEGE PLAZA — Officers responded to a verbal dispute between a man and woman in the parking lot.

▲ BERMUDA RUN — A man threatened a tow truck driver who was repossessing the offender’s girlfriend’s vehicle.
