Police report - 3-25-15; A woman reported the theft of 10 slingback chairs in assorted summer colors

STATESBORO POLICE DEPARTMENT
Arrests/citations
    Jazmyne Nicole Smith, 22, Lanier Drive — failure to appear in court.
    Suzanne Kathleen Kegley, 22, South Main Street — suspended license.

Incidents
    GARDEN DISTRICT APARTMENTS — (Monday. 7:16 a.m.) A woman reported a total of $376.25 and several undisclosed items stolen from her vehicle.
    PAWN CITY/NORTHSIDE DRIVE EAST — (Friday, 5:04 p.m.) A man said a suspect pawned an air compressor tool set and safety glasses that did not belong to him. The deal was the complainant would buy the items for the suspect to use to complete a roofing job. The offender did not complete the job, but pawned the items. The pawn shop owners are seeking a warrant for the suspect’s arrest, as they paid the man $75 for items that were not his to pawn. The items were returned to the owner.
    FRED’S SUPER DOLLAR STORE — (Monday, 8 a.m.) A woman reported the theft of 10 slingback chairs in assorted summer colors. The chairs were stolen from the store’s outdoor patio overnight.
    COPPER BEECH TOWNHOUSES — (Monday, 2:21 p.m.) A woman told police a man she didn’t know contacted her via Facebook, claiming to be her cousin and that he had a new number. Then, he began asking her for sexual favors. The victim blocked the phone number and called police.
    STATESBORO PLACE CIRCLE — (Monday, 4:30 p.m.) A woman reported receiving about 15 unwanted phone calls from a male suspect. She told police she demanded he stop, but he did not.

    Robin Leigh Hise, 40, Florence Drive — simple assault.
    Daquan Kareem Hassan Jordan, 19, Wildwood Circle — contempt of court.
    Earlis Marvin Smokes, 50, Olive Branch Road, Ellabell — theft by shoplifting, obstruction, probation violation.
    Michael Earl-Tyrone Webb, 57, West Main Street — public intoxication.
    Jasmine Durrant, 23, Statesboro Place Circle — theft by deception.
    Toney Lavon Holly, 50, Denmark Street — battery.
    Kenyera Un’Torian Kelly, 21, Brannen Drive, Louisville — fleeing/attempt to elude, driving without a valid license, obstruction, reckless driving.
    Charles Edward Warshany, 28, Spring Creek Road — contempt of drug court.

Incidents
    METTS ROAD — (Monday, 10:45 a.m.) A disposal company told deputies a customer owed a significant bill for trash pickup, but refused to allow them to pick up the trash can that belonged to the company. The suspect claimed the trash can, which had been spray painted black, was his property. Deputies referred the matter to magistrate court.
    ENGLISH OAKS BOULEVARD — (Monday, 8:30 p.m.) A man told deputies he heard a noise, thinking it was his wife coming home. He checked to find a man in his house. The intruder fled when he realized he had been seen.

Arrests/citations
    Officers issued no traffic violation citations   Monday.

Incidents
    Officers issued four traffic warnings and assisted eight motorists Monday.
