INCIDENTS
Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office
    HIGHWAY 301 NORTH — Warrants were issued for a man after a woman said he damaged her car door.
    DOY NEWTON MOBILE HOME PARK — A man reported that someone stole a washer and dryer. He listed the suspects by name. Deputies advised him of procedures to take out warrants.
    LAWRENCE CHURCH ROAD — A man reported the burglary of a home that has been vacant for a few months. Witnesses reported seeing people staying at the house, with lights on at night, and seeing them arguing outside, but they said they thought they were the victim's family.
    BELL ROAD — Deputies questioned a suspicious person who knocked on someone's door to ask if anyone lived in the home. He appeared intoxicated, had a vial with suspicious white powder on a piece of plastic and told the deputy he was "infested with bugs and had snakes crawling on him." He was arrested.
    KYLE SORRELL ROAD — A man said he found two beer cans and a condom wrapper in a home he is remodeling but not yet living in. He said he suspected trespassers.
    BANKS DAIRY ROAD — A woman said several people assaulted her on her front porch, stemming from an earlier incident with her grandmother in Portal. She showed visible marks on her from the attack, which was done in part by juvenile children, she said.
    HUBERT CHURCH ROAD — A deputy met with a caseworker performing a welfare check on a woman who had been reported to be living in unfit conditions. The check was made and the woman was fine.
    KENNEDY BRIDGE ROAD — A woman told deputies she had been buying meat from a man for years, and he always had a sad story to tell when he delivered. She said she had always given him extra money, but apparently this became an issue for her concern, so she called deputies. She showed them canceled checks, but they had all been made out as payment for meat.
    WESTSIDE ROAD — A man reported a burglary where several items were taken from his shop.
    HAYES LAKE ROAD — A man said a home health aide stole one of his mother’s checks and made it out to herself in the amount of $1,240.75, forging his mother’s signature. There were other checks missing as well, he said.
    LELAND COURT — Deputies responding to a call about a welfare check found a woman very intoxicated, and also learned she had an outstanding warrant for her arrest. She was taken to the hospital for treatment, then to jail to await pickup by Columbus, Ga., law enforcement.
    MAG DAVIS ROAD — Someone broke into a man’s home and stole $50 in change, a chain saw and a checkbook.
    MANSFIELD ROAD — A woman reported the theft of a pair of blue diamond earrings. She said the only person who knew about them and their value is her ex-boyfriend.
    COWBOY WAY — Deputies responded to a shots fired call and learned of a dispute between two families. A man admitted having fired the shots “accidentally” while trying to get the members of two families together at his home to solve their issues. A short time later one man, a member of the feuding families, told deputies members of the other family were riding past his house, repeatedly firing shots. However, Bulloch 911 had received no other reports of shots fired at that time.

Statesboro Police Department
    EAGLE INN — An intoxicated person who refused to leave was arrested.
    WEST KENNEDY STREET — A man called police when he found an intoxicated person whom he did not know in his back yard. The offender was taken to jail.
    PINE STREET — A woman reported being involved in a physical confrontation. She was given information about the warrant process.
    FAIR ROAD — A woman who had reportedly consumed so much alcohol that she could not care for herself, and who had reportedly taken several items from the hospital, was arrested on an outstanding probation warrant.
    MARKET 100 — Police found an open apartments door, but the tenant was not fund. A key holder secured the apartment.
    FAIR ROAD — A woman wanted by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office was located and arrested.
    EAST GEORGIA REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER — A woman reported a purse with $500 lost or stolen.

Georgia Southern University Police
    Officers issued no traffic citations and seven traffic warnings and assisted three motorists.
