➤ Statesboro Police Department

▲ WAL-MART SUPERCENTER — A person was cited and released after shoplifting a deer warning device and a cell phone holder.

▲ LANIER DRIVE — A woman reported the theft of various items of children’s clothing.

In a separate case, two offenders were cited after shoplifting a $6 food item.

▲ VETERAN’S MEMORIAL PARKWAY/LANIER DRIVE — A woman pulled over for headlights violation was arrested on further charges, including obstruction, after refusing to obey officer’s commands.

▲ SOUTH MAIN STREET — A person involved in a domestic dispute made claims of simple battery, but there was no evidence leading to an arrest.

▲ Last week, troopers responded to 21 crashes with eight reported injuries and arrested one driver on DUI charges

▲ Troopers also issued the following: three citations and eight warnings for seat belt violations; one citation and two warnings for child restraint violations; 17 citations and 30 warnings for speeding.
