Incidents
    COLLEGE WALK APARTMENTS — Police responded around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday to a fight in which one woman reportedly threatened another with a knife. She denied doing so, and witnesses could only confirm that she had a knife, but not that she threatened anyone.
    UNIVERSITY VILLAGE — A woman told police around
9 p.m. Friday that she deposited a check for $2,300, withdrew that much, then placed $500 on a prepaid debit card to send to the person who sent her the check. The check turned out to be fraudulent and the victim realized she had been involved in a scam.
    THE AVENUE AT SOUTHERN — A man told police around 12:50 a.m. Sunday that an unknown man attacked him at his apartment door, striking him several times and threatening greater harm.
    WAL-MART — Police were called to the store around 1:20 p.m. Sunday because of an argument over a motorized cart. One woman was angry because another was trying to get the last motorized cart available. The offender jumped on the cart, backed it up at a high rate of speed and struck the other woman’s buggy, containing her grandson. The offender yelled and cursed in the presence of children as well. Police were unable to find the offender.
    EAGLE HEALTH AND REHAB — A resident over age 65  reported being struck in the face by an employee around 6:30 a.m. Sunday. The health care home is conducting an internal investigation,
reports stated.
    PARKER’S ENZONE — An unknown woman stole four Jingle Bucks lottery tickets from behind the counter when the clerk was not looking around
2 p.m. Saturday.

Incidents
    PLANTATION MOBILE HOME PARK — (Statesboro) Deputies responded to a 911 call around 10 p.m. Friday in which the caller indicated that someone had been stabbed or cut, and that a woman was passed out. Deputies arrived to find a man who said a woman cut him and ran. The woman was located and was extremely intoxicated. The victim left and was supposed to go to the hospital for treatment but never arrived. The woman was arrested for public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
    EAGLE TRACE MOBILE HOME PARK — (Statesboro) A man told deputies around
3:20 p.m. Saturday a strange man asked to come into his home because he was cold. When the victim did not allow the stranger inside, the stranger picked up a chair and threw it, shattering the victim’s storm door.
    BOWEN ROAD — (Portal) A man told deputies around 3 p.m. Friday that someone stole the gates from the Lake Collins spillway.
 
GEORGIA STATE PATROL POST 45
    Troopers reported the following activity for the week of Nov. 17-23:
 
Incidents
    Troopers issued two seat-belt citations, 10 speeding citations and 21 total citations.
    Troopers investigated 24 crashes with eight reported injuries and issued six seat-belt warnings, 32 speeding warnings and 76 total warnings.
 
GEORGIA SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY POLICE
Arrests
    None reported during the weekend.
 
Incidents
    Officers issued three traffic citations and five traffic warnings and assisted 10 motorists Friday through Sunday.
    KNIGHT DRIVE — Three men admitted smoking marijuana after police responded to the smell of burning marijuana around 2 p.m. Nov. 16. A smoking device made from an apple juice container, as well as vials believed to have container marijuana, were confiscated. The men were judicially referred to university officials for punishment, but they were not arrested.
