Statesboro Police Incidents
CAMPUS CLUB APARTMENTS – Someone broke a car window and took an iPod.
ANTHONY STREET – Someone shot paintballs and threw eggs at a house.
THE GROVE – Someone took an iPod from a car.
COLLEGE PLAZA – Police saw two women fighting. One was arrested.
MIKE-ANN DRIVE – A woman found an unknown female sleeping on her couch and called police. The offender said she had been drunk and did not know where she was or how she got there.
DAIRY QUEEN – A man tried to get money using a flim-flam technique, but the cashier was onto him and counted her cash drawer, proving she had given him correct change. The man driving a tan Mercury Marquis fled without getting the food for which he paid.
UNIVERSITY PLAZA – A policeman heard someone yell “fight!” and saw two men scrapping. He broke them up and then arrested them.
SOUTHERN COVE – A woman suffered a laceration to her lip during a fight with a man.
CHANDLER ROAD – Statesboro Police K-9 Bruno helped GSU police sniff out some marijuana in a car.
PARK PLACE APARTMENTS – A laptop was stolen.
NORTH COLLEGE STREET – A man threatened another with harm.
U.S. HAIR – A woman shoplifted a wig, put it in her purse and fled the store without paying.
KENT STREET – An officer responding to a reported fight in progress found two teens fighting. They were turned over to parents.
 
Bulloch County Sheriff's Incidents
HODGES CIRCLE – (Statesboro) A woman said a man took her call phone and left.
MAIN STREET, REGISTER – A woman reported a man prowling around her home. Deputies identified the offender, who fled. Warrants were to be issued for his arrest.
ELDORA ROAD – (Ellabell) A woman told deputies a man yelled obscenities at her. The offender told deputies the woman gets drunk and yells at him from her yard.
LAWRENCE CHURCH ROAD – (Pembroke) A woman said someone removed a barrier on her property and [placed a for sale sign on her land.
GA. 67 – (Statesboro) A man reported the theft of a firearms license, credit cards, drivers license and wallet.
GA. 119 – (Brooklet) A man reported the theft of a utility trailer, battery box, and golf cart.

The shelter reported the following activity during the week of Oct. 4-10.
Animals incoming:
    Bulloch County Humane Enforcement, rural areas – five dogs and one cat.
    Bulloch County Humane Enforcement, Statesboro city limits – three dogs and a cat.
    Abandoned at shelter – one dog.
    Surrendered by citizens – two dogs and one cat.
    Number of animals in surrendered litters - three puppies and 20 kittens.
Animals outgoing:
    Shelter adoptions -  none.
    Humane Society adoptions - none.
    Returned to owners - one dog.
    Died at shelter – three cats.
    Euthanized from isolation – five dogs and 12 cats.
Officer activity:
    Raccoon complaints - one.
Snake complaint – one.
    Court summons/citations - none.
    Warnings issued – 20.
Money collected:
    Adoption fees – $142.
    Surrender fees - $50.
    Returned animal fines - $50.
