Bulloch County Sheriff's Incidents
U.S. 80 WEST – (Portal) A man called for assistance with child custody after his ex-wife refused him contact with his eight-year-old daughter.
LAKESIDE DRIVE – (Portal) A man reported a tree fell on his vehicle, causing damage.
SOUTHEAST BULLOCH HIGH SCHOOL – (Brooklet) A student was found with prescription medicine that did not belong to her and was not in a pill bottle.     She said she took four of the pills  - clonazepam – and refused to tell where she got them. She was arrested for possession of a Schedule IV drug.
GA. 46 – (Statesboro) A woman reported the theft of a patio table, chairs, bench and pit bull puppy.

Statesboro-Bulloch County Animal Shelter Reports
    The shelter reported the following activity during the week of Jan. 26-31.
    Animals incoming:
    Bulloch County Humane Enforcement, rural areas - 17 dogs.
    Bulloch County Humane Enforcement, Brooklet city limits – one dog.    Surrendered by citizens – two dogs and four cats.
    Number of animals in surrendered litters – nine puppies.
    Animals outgoing:
    Shelter adoptions - one cat.
    Humane Society adoptions- one dog.
    Returned to owners – three dogs.
    Escaped - none.
    Died at shelter – one dog and one cat.
    Euthanized from isolation-53 dogs and five cats.
    Officer activity:
    Two horse calls in the county and an opossum call in Statesboro.
    Court summons/citations-11.
    Warnings issued - 13.
    Money collected:
    Adoption fees - $35.
    Surrender fees - $30.
    Returned animal fines -$75.
