Statesboro Police Arrests
* Kenneth Jerome Smith Jr., 24, Packinghouse Road – crossing guard lines with drugs, tag light violation, fleeing/attempt to elude, driving with suspended license, cocaine possession, obstruction.
* Earl Lanier, 33, Pinemount Boulevard – driving with a suspended license, suspended registration, no proof of insurance, probation violation.
* Matthew McRae Stanley, 26, Coogan Williams Road, Vidalia – wanted person, marijuana possession.
* Jamaal J., Jackson, 33, Owl Drive – driving with a suspended license, failure to maintain lane.
Bulloch Sheriff’s Arrests
* Derrick Jetan Williams, 31, U.S. 30 North – parole violation.
* Aaron Demeko Prowell Sr., 39, Eddie Lane, Hinesville – cruelty to children, disrupting public school.
* David Duncan Jones, 28, Golf Club Circle – obstruction, disorderly conduct.
* Tyrone Orlando Scott, 26, Quail Hill Lane – bench warrant.
Georgia State Patrol Arrests
Troopers issued the following citations Friday – Sunday:
* DUI arrests – Matthew David Sanderson, 23, Quaker Springs, Augusta – DUI (refused test).
Brian Lakeith Perkins, 32, Ga. 46 – DUI (refused test.)
* Seatbelt citations – two.
* Child restraint citations – none.
* Speeding citations – one.
Georgia Southern University Arrests
* Valerie Lynn Poynor, 20, South College Street — false report of a crime.
* Benjamin Forest Sharp IV, 23, Woodland Drive — DUI and headlight requirements.
Statesboro Police Incidents
* GREENWOOD AVENUE – A woman had police check on a residence where she suspected her 16-year-old son of smoking and drinking. An 18-year-old was arrested for underage intoxication, but there were no signs of anyone else under the influence, nor were there any drugs or alcohol found.
* CAMPUS CLUB APARTMENTS – Witnesses saw two men force their way into a home. When police arrived, they found a man leaving the apartment via a window. He said he lived there and had been robbed, and was escaping from the robbers. Police found no one else in the apartment and are investigating the reported crime.
* COLLEGE WALK APARTMENTS – A tenant reported the theft of an Xbox 360.
* NASSAU DRIVE – A woman reported two necklaces stolen.
* SOUTHGATE APARTMENTS – A man and woman argued over her daughter doing a school project. The man said the child was “fresh and disrespectful.”
* BAYMONT INN – A man was arrested after hotel employees reported he had not paid for the room. He was wanted on outstanding warrants and had marijuana on his person.
* MILL RUN APARTMENTS – Police responded to a verbal dispute.
* VISTA CIRCLE – Police are investigating a reported statutory rape involving a 19-year-old man and a juvenile.
* LONGHORN STEAKHOUSE – A man was jumped by an unknown male in the parking lot, struck several times in the face, and suffered visible injuries.
* BO’S AUTO SALES – Someone pried a door and broke in, but nothing was taken.
* LITTLE LOTTS CREEK APARTMENTS – A woman called police when her son threatened her during a verbal dispute.
Bulloch Sheriff’s Incidents
* PRETORIA LANE – (Statesboro) An intoxicated man was dropped off at a stranger’s home as a prank, but his friends would not return to get him, he told deputies. After seeing evidence the man tried breaking into the house while he was in the garage, he was arrested.
* WATERS CEMETERY ROAD – (Statesboro) Someone stole a propane tank and heater.
* DENMARK STREET – (Statesboro) A woman threatened others at the Department of Family and Children Services because her food stamps had not been issued on time.
* MCKELVEEN POND ROAD – (Register) Someone stole a dog box and a water tank.
* LANGSTON CHAPEL MIDDLE SCHOOL – (Statesboro) A man was arrested after he grabbed his son by the arm and yanked him out of the gym during a school basketball game and dance. The man did not have custody of the child and was arrested for disrupting a school and cruelty to children.
* SOUTH 301 AUTO BODY – (Statesboro) An employee was reported to have stolen a large amount of power and other tools.
* BRANNEN ROAD – (Statesboro) A woman told deputies her child’s father bit her on the arm and attacked her. After investigation she changed her story, reports stated.
* TREVOR LANE – (Statesboro) A woman said a man who she met three months ago makes threats towards her that cause her to fear for her safety.
* REDBREAST LANE – A man reported the theft of two firearms.
* TRIPLE T ROAD – (Register) A man reported the theft of a red 1972 Dodge truck. It was found later at a local metal yard, sold by a known offender.
* CROSSWAY COTTAGES – (Statesboro) A tenant reported the theft of a TV, satellite dish, video games, computers, DVDs and more.
Georgia Southern University Incidents
* FRIDAY — Officers assisted four motorists, assisted two sick persons, assisted one injured person and responded to one alarm.
* SATURDAY — Officers responded to two alarms and investigated one accident.
* SUNDAY — Officers issued two traffic warnings.
Georgia State Patrol Incidents
Troopers reported the following activity over the weekend:
* Crashes investigated – 10.

* Total vehicle stops – 38.
* Seat belt warnings – none.
* Child restraint warnings – one.
* Speeding warnings – nine.
