A man struck a woman with a gun Saturday after threatening to shoot her in front of children, according to Statesboro police reports.

Robert Lee Redding, 29, was reportedly at a Lanier Drive residence around 9:30 p.m. Saturday when he pulled a gun during an argument, struck the victim and threatened to shoot her, said Madison Warren, Statesboro police community information specialist.

Redding, of a Roundtree Street address, also "acted as if he was going to shoot her," she said. There were children in the residence during the altercation.

The woman suffered visible but minor injuries and was treated by EMS at the scene.
