A man struck a woman with a gun Saturday after threatening to shoot her in front of children, according to Statesboro police reports. Robert Lee Redding, 29, was reportedly at a Lanier Drive residence around 9:30 p.m. Saturday when he pulled a gun during an argument, struck the victim and threatened to shoot her, said Madison Warren, Statesboro police community information specialist. Redding, of a Roundtree Street address, also "acted as if he was going to shoot her," she said.
