OTC instructor elected president of EMS Association
Steven McNure to head educators division of Georgia organization

    Ogeechee Technical College EMS Program Director Steven McNure, EMT-P, recently was elected president of the Georgia EMS Association/Educators Division.     
    The mission of the Georgia Association of Emergency Medical Services, Inc. is to advocate for the emergency medical provider, develop educational programs, liaison activities, and improvements to the Emergency Medical Services in Georgia.
    “We have excellent EMS Instructors in Georgia and because of them; our EMT’s and paramedics are some of the best in the Nation,” said McNure.
    “The Georgia EMS Association was designed to support all facets of emergency medical services in Georgia,” said McNure.
    Members of the educational division share insight and information which will further the educational enrichment of students and instructors involved in EMS education at all levels. Members are EMS Instructors and training coordinators.
    McNure is a 25-year veteran with EMS in addition to being a licensed Georgia paramedic and American Heart Association instructor. In 2005 McNure was named Instructor of the Year at Ogeechee Tech.
    McNure resides in Portal with wife Christi and their five children.
    “We save lives through education and I am very proud and honored to serve in this capacity and working with other EMS Educators throughout Georgia,” said McNure.
