Charles Wilson, assistant superintendent for finance with the Bulloch County school system, said construction at Sallie Z. is on schedule and the school should be finished by late fall. If everything remains on schedule, it’s possible the new school could open after winter break in January 2011, he said. Wilson also said construction of new schools for Julia P. Bryant Elementary and Portal Middle/High School is on schedule for both, and each is expected to be ready to open in August for the next school year.
