The Statesboro-Bulloch Chamber of Commerce is making plans for its 86th Annual Meeting and installment of new chamber officers.  The dinner will take place in the Nessmith-Lane Continuing Education Building on the campus of Georgia Southern University on Thursday, Jan. 24 at 7 p.m.
“The annual meeting allows the Chamber to reflect on the accomplishments of 2007 and begin focusing on the opportunities the Chamber faces in 2008,” said Peggy Chapman, president of the Statesboro-Bulloch Chamber of Commerce. “It is also a time to welcome new board members, who bring new ideas, new perspectives and new approaches. This is a very exciting time for your Chamber.”
Highlights of the evening include a review of the Chamber’s accomplishments for 2007, a presentation of the 2008 action plan, recognition of volunteers, and installment of the 2008 chairman, Steve Rushing of Franklin, Taulbee, Rushing, Snipes & Marsh, P.C.
During and following the brief business meeting, guests are entertained by a special video of the past year’s accomplishments and community events.
Tickets for the event are available to the community at a cost of $55 per person.  The cost for members of the Chamber of Commerce is $45 per person or $400 for a reserved table of eight. Please contact Courtney Mills, director of Chamber programs at 489-9119 to make reservations. The deadline for reservations is Friday, Jan. 18.
