A Jenkins County man was killed Saturday in an ATV accident north of Portal. John W. Banner, 48, of Millen, was riding an ATV on Rock Hill Road around 5:50 p.m. when his four-wheeler left the road as he tried to round a curve, according to reports by Master Trooper Ricky Helton of the Georgia State Patrol. Banner was ejected from the ATV and pronounced dead at the scene.
