Metter police are seeking information about the armed robbery of a convenience store on Southeast Broad Street early Saturday.

A black man, standing between 5'9" and 5'10", weighing around 220 pounds, entered Parker's convenience store around 5 a.m. Saturday, pulling a gun on two clerks inside, said Metter Police Chief Mack Seckinger.

No one was injured in the robbery. A clerk handed over the cash and the suspect left on foot. "We tracked his footprints through the dew" but it appeared the suspect may have possibly entered a vehicle, he said.

The suspect was wearing a hoodie, black pants and gloves, and a white bandana over his face, he said.

Anyone with information is asked to make a confidential call to the Metter Police Department at (912) 685-5437.
