A woman was jailed Friday on aggravated assault charges after allegedly stabbing a man twice.

Statesboro police found the victim, 34-year-old Kenneth Bell, at a Stadium Walk apartment around 1:30 Friday morning, said Statesboro Police Community Information Specialist Madison Warren.

Bell was stabbed in the chest and abdomen, and was taken by EMS to East Georgia Regional Medical Center.

Nakisa Wallet Mabel, 35, Lanier Drive, was arrested on aggravated assault charges as well as an outstanding probation violation warrant, Warren said.

Mabel was taken to the Bulloch County Jail where she is being held without bond pending further court hearings.

Warren did not immediately have information on Bell’s condition Tuesday.
