Man charged with selling marijuana
Jeromy Lee Keaveney

A man was arrested Tuesday on charges he sold marijuana from his apartment, according to the Bulloch County Sheriff's Office.

Investigators with the Statesboro-Bulloch Crime Suppression Team served a search warrant at Sea Pines Apartments in the 9000 block of Burkhalter Road. The warrant was based on drug purchases from an apartment tenant, Jeromy Lee Keaveney, 28, Sheriff Lynn Anderson said in a news release issued Wednesday.

Keaveney fled out of the apartment but was taken into custody after a short foot chase, Anderson said.

The search revealed marijuana at the location, according to the news release.

Keaveney was charged with four counts of sale of marijuana and one count each of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, obstruction, possession/use of a drug-related object and parole violation.

Keaveney was paroled from the state prison system after having served three years of a 10-year sentence for multiple burglaries, according to the Georgia Department of Corrections website.
