A Savannah man involved in a domestic dispute Wednesday in Statesboro was arrested after police found him with marijuana “wax” in his possession.

Neal Adam Brady of Lynes Court, Savannah, also was charged in crimes involving striking an adult victim as well as a juvenile, said Statesboro Police Sgt. Jake Saxon.

Police responded Wednesday to a Norwood Drive home, where a family domestic altercation was reported. Brady, the aggressor, was not there when officers arrived, but was located a short time later, Saxon said.

During the altercation, Brady, 37, reportedly struck an adult victim as well as a juvenile, “leaving bruises,” he said.

When Brady was apprehended, he had in his possession marijuana, in wax form, he said.

According to Internet website www.complex.com, the drug is a more potent form of cannabis that has a brownish, waxy appearance.

Brady was taken to the Bulloch County Jail, where he was booked on charges of simple assault (family violence), battery, criminal trespass, first degree cruelty to children, third degree cruelty to children, possession of drug related objects, and possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, according to Bulloch County Jail records.

He awaits further court proceedings.
