Man charged with burglary, pawning stolen property

A man who police said pawned stolen property is behind bars on burglary charges. Statesboro police officers arrested Carsidous Demond Evans, 18, of East Jones Avenue, "after he pawned property that was reported stolen," Statesboro Public Safety Director Wendell Turner said in a news release issued Thursday afternoon. Evans "took a 24-inch flat screen television" during a burglary that occurred Friday, Sept. 27, sometime between 12:30 and 1:50 a.m. on Mikell Street, he said.
