A North Carolina man was airlifted to a Savannah hospital Tuesday night after police said a teen in a Jeep pulled into his path.Georgia State Patrol Post 45 spokesperson Ginger Bragg said reports were incomplete Wednesday, as the case remains under investigation.Troopers reported Basil David Johnson, 38, Morganton Road, Fayetteville, NC was traveling on a 2006 Suzuki motorcycle on Hwy. 25, traveling west, approaching the intersection of Two Chop Road around 7:15 p.m., she said.A 16-year-old male, driving a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee, was stopped at a stop sign on Two Chop Road at the intersection with Hwy. 25. He pulled into Johnson’s path, and the motorcycle struck his vehicle on its left side, she said.Johnson was taken by Air Evac to Memorial Hospital in Savannah. The teen suffered minor injuries and was not transported.Charges are pending, and the GSP Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team (SCRT) is investigating further, Bragg said.
