In search of cheaper food pricing

With the never-ending rise in the cost of food, obesity will not soon be a problem. We'll all just tighten our belts more!
Has anyone ever done any comparative shopping here visiting the various stores? Recently, I checked a few prices — no stores mentioned — bananas were priced from .87 cents to .69 to .49 to 47 cents per pound. Gee, isn't a banana a banana? I found peas that we all love from .59 to .69 to .79 to .99 cents. Larger canned vegetables were priced from .99 cents to $1.25 to $1.69 to $1.99.
I thought charity began at home, but it's easy to see that some stores are more charitable than others.
So, shoppers, let's go shopping for better prices!
