Editor:
The social hall of Trinity Episcopal Church was abuzz with conversations on April 25, when more than 80 ladies ate lunch and played cards at a benefit for Area Christians Together in Service Inc. (ACTS).
A special acknowledgment goes to Trinity Episcopal Church for the gracious use of its church facilities.
Our generous sponsors included Aim Trac, Allstate Insurance – Sapp Agency, BB&T Bank, Citizens Bank, Claxton Poultry, Farmers & Merchants Bank, Glenn/Davis & Associates, Heritage Bank, Heritage Bank of the South, Queensborough Bank, Sassy Hair, Sea Island Bank and Wells Fargo Advisors.
Prizes were bestowed thanks to Anderson's General Store; Belk; Bi-Lo; Braswell Food Company; Citizens Bank; Colonial House of Flowers; Denmark's Furniture Mart & Sleep; Frazier's Flowers & Gifts; L.A. Waters Furniture; Lowe's; The Daily Grind; The Florist; The Hen House; The Mad Potter; Southern Creations Floral Shoppe; Tillman, Brannen & Minick Farm Supply; Walker Pharmacy; Wal-Mart; and Wise Nurseries.
ACTS truly appreciates all of the sponsors, donors, volunteers, and participants who made its first Lunch and Cards Benefit a huge success. All of the proceeds will provide emergency financial assistance to Bulloch County residents.
Sincerely,
