Keep Bulloch Beautiful has gone through some changes in recent weeks. There is a new person in charge.
Jenna Lawson, former Keep Bulloch Beautiful intern, was hired to take on the role of executive director for the organization. She replaces Brooke Carney.
"I had the chance to intern with the program about two years ago and get a feel for what KBB was all about. When I discovered they were looking for a new director and the opportunity presented itself, I jumped on the chance to work with KBB again," said Jenna Lawson.
Lawson came to Bulloch County in 2002 to attend Georgia Southern University. She graduated with a BS in Public Relations and Communication Arts in December of 2006. During her term at GSU, Lawson met and recently married her husband James Lawson, of Prudential Kennedy Realty. The two resided in Bulloch County for more than six years now.
"KBB's ultimate goal is to enhance the beauty of Bulloch County through education, public action and example. I am thrilled to be working for this cause once again and look forward to working with the organizations, schools, government, businesses and residents of Bulloch County," Lawson said.
Keep Bulloch Beautiful is an affiliate group of Keep America Beautiful and Keep Georgia Beautiful that has been in operation since 2000. KBB focuses their effort in three main areas: waste reduction, litter prevention and beautification. It is through these three areas that KBB creates awareness and educates the residents of Bulloch County.
