Statesboro Kiwanis members celebrated the civic club's 54th anniversary Thursday by honoring several, including member J.D. Dunn, who was named Kiwanian of the Year. The banquet was held at the Kiwanis Ogeechee fairgrounds in the club's community room. Selected by a committee of three past recipients of the award, the honor is bestowed upon a member who has shown dedication and involvement in club activities, and who has worked to make a difference in the club and community.
