Ogeechee Technical College in Statesboro was named recently the top technical college in Georgia by James Magazine.

Rankings were determined by evaluating all colleges and universities in Georgia, with determining criteria, including graduation rates, teacher-student ratios, job placement rates and accreditation. Up-to-date data was accessed through the state's Complete College Georgia initiative, to ensure that all institutions were compared fairly, according to James' CEO and publisher, Phil Kent.

In addition to ranking the top 10 technical colleges in the state, other categories included top university, top college, success rate, and best value. James Magazine focuses on politics and education in Georgia, among other relevant topics.

"We are honored to be named the number one technical college in Georgia by James Magazine," said Lori Durden, Ogeechee Technical College president. "The success of Ogeechee Tech would not be possible without the great employees, community members, and of course, students, who all make the college a great asset to our area of the state."
