A bond hearing scheduled Thursday for a teacher charged with having sex with a student has been continued.
Judge William Woodrum issued an order Tuesday stating the bond hearing for Amy Bass Jackson, 35, Pebblestone Court, “is hereby continued until further notice of the court.”
Jackson is charged with aggravated child molestation, child molestation, statutory rape, sexual exploitation of children, computer pornography and child exploitation, and unlawful disposition of material to minors.
She is accused of having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old male who was her student at William James Middle School. The encounters took place between July 3 and 11, and occurred off school property, according to reports.
Jackson is currently held in isolation at the Bulloch County Jail, without
bond.
