Bulloch County Sheriff’s investigators are seeking a man they said broke into an Eldora Road area home, but fled after an alarm sounded.
The homeowners suffered a burglary in December, and since then installed an alarm system that also included video surveillance, said Bulloch County Sheriff Lynn Anderson.
When  the suspect broke into the home around noon Thursday, he had no time to take anything because the alarm sounded, and he fled, he said. However, video showed the white male, in his early 30’s to mid 40’s, around 5’8 “ to 5’11” tall, weighing around 140 pounds, as he fled, he said.
The suspect also had long black hair, he said.
Video of the suspect and possibly still shots from the video will be available later on  the Statesboro Herald Web site www.statesboroherald.com
Anderson said the suspect was also driving a gold vehicle that appeared to be a Saturn station wagon, possibly 1999-2000 model.
Bulloch County Sheriff’s Investigator Jason Long, as well as Deputy Prethenia Cone, launched an investigation into the break-in, and hope citizens can provide information to locate the suspect, Anderson said.
Effingham County and Bryan County Sheriff’s deputies are assisting in the investigation as well, he said.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Long at 764-1747 or the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Department at 764-8888. All calls will be keep confidential, he said.
