On the campus of Georgia Southern University Friday, school President Brooks Keel unveiled a new way for “The Eagle Nation” to express its support. In a morning event on Sweetheart Circle, Keel introduced Georgia Southern staff and students to a redesigned official motor vehicle license plate available for purchase through the Georgia Department of Revenue’s Motor Vehicle Division.The blue and white plate, which features a stylized logo and the words “The Eagle Nation,” will showcase a purchaser’s school spirit and, more importantly, contribute to the future success of Georgia Southern students, Keel said. “Georgia Southern is all about getting students, faculty, staff, alumni, and everyone in the Statesboro community and beyond to be true-blue, and show their commitment to the university.
