A Bulloch County man struck a sheriff’s deputy with his car Monday as he fled from court after being sentenced to 30 days in jail. Bulloch County sheriff’s Deputy Craig Coleman was injured and sought treatment, but is now back on full duty, said Sheriff Noel Brown. Coleman was working Monday in the Bulloch County State Court when Judge Gary Mikell sentenced Steven James Yount, 24, to spend 30 days in the Bulloch County Jail as a result of a conviction for speeding, suspended licensed and fleeing/attempt to elude stemming from a November 2017 incident, he said.
