Festival of Trees a sight to behold

Becki Akins and daughter Emily Mains, 10, take in the sights at the Festival of Trees at the Nessmith-Lane Continuing Education Center on the campus of Georgia Southern University Monday. The week-long festival includes decorated trees, wreaths and gingerbread houses is put on by the Continuing Education Center in the Nessmith-Lane Continuing Education Building. The trees were decorated by local artists, merchants and community members. The wreaths and seven-foot-tall artificial trees can be viewed from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. daily through Friday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday.
