Evans County man dies in wreck
GSP accident

An Evans County man was killed Thursday evening after running a stop sign, according to Georgia State Patrol Post 45 in Statesboro.

Davy Todd, 55, of John Todd Road, was driving on that road around 7 p.m. Thursday when he failed to stop at the intersection with Old Highway 250, according to a preliminary GSP report.

Todd, driving a Ford pickup truck, was struck by a Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Jeremiah Ray, 29, of Georgia Highway 169 in Glennville, reports stated.

Todd was pronounced dead at the scene and Ray was flown by emergency helicopter to a Savannah hospital.
