A driver reportedly clocked going 97 mph was in the Bulloch County Jail facing at least seven charges Tuesday after a Sheriff's Office sergeant performed a PIT maneuver that forced the suspect from the highway but also involved two other vehicles in a collision. None of the drivers were seriously injured, the Bulloch County Sheriff's Office reported. Rodrick Lamont Richardson, 19, of Georgia Avenue in Statesboro, was booked on charges of speeding, fleeing or attempting to elude police, felony theft by receiving stolen property, failure to stop at a stop sign, misdemeanor driving without a valid license, failure to maintain lane and striking a fixed object.
