Stewart Moody

Stewart Moody has served for a decade as Chaplain of the Georgia Southern Eagles football team, speaking to the team and coaches each week as a source of inspiration and encouragement. Stewart is the college pastor at First Baptist Church and, in that role, spends a great deal of time on the Georgia Southern campus. When tragedy struck Georgia Southern and two college students were killed in an automobile accident, Stewart went to the student's hometowns and ministered to the grieving families. Stewart's service to mankind extends into other facets of community life, too. He has served on the Board of the American Red Cross and on the Board of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Dr. Stewart Moody certainly possesses the servant's heart and we proudly salute his service to others with this Deen Day Smith Service to Mankind Award.
