We again honor a husband and wife team for both their individual service to the community as well as their shared efforts to make this a better community - especially for our young people. Ronald and Lisa Campbell worked as a team to develop the Campbell's Youth Ministry BRAVA program. Their vision was a to begin a performing arts and sports outreach ministry that would help groom children in Bulloch County for service, scholarships and personal success while developing their God-given talents. The Campbells launched the teen component of their program in 2002 when they formed the Teen Lift track club, designed to develop track and field talents. Participants were required to take part in nutrition and wellness workshops - and they were required to volunteer time at the Boys and Girls Club. In 2005, Ronald and Lisa developed the first components of their dance ministry with just five students in their living room. Today, that number has grown to 37. Both Rico and Lisa are volunteers in the community, including the Statesboro-Bulloch County Recreation Department, the Boys and Girls Club, and are heavily involved and deeply committed as members of the Outreach Ministry Center of Statesboro. Living their dreams - that's Ronald and Lisa Campbell.
