Most people can and do appreciate the tremendous time demands of a physician's private practice - including long hours and a heavy caseload - but when you couple that with the added responsibility of serving as Medical Director of Ogeechee Area Hospice, you get a better understanding of how strong Dr. John Gerguis' commitment is to our community and its health care needs. In addition to his role as medical director, John has accepted primary care of patients who have no local physician. John also serves voluntarily as the chair of the ethics committee at East Georgia Regional Medical Center - a responsibility that is extremely important for patients who cannot make decisions for themselves. John is a strong supporter of Leadership Bulloch and Leadership Southeast Georgia programs as well as Youth Leadership program.
