Statesboro Police Incidents
FOXRIDGE — a woman reported a purse taken from her car.
EAGLE AUTOMOTVE — A woman called police to report being charged $60 for having her vehicle checked when she thought it would be free, and was not told there was a charge.
THE LODGE APARTMENTS — A woman told police her mother used a cashier's check, which she was to be holding for safekeeping, to buy drugs.
EAST GEORGIA REGIONAL MEDIAL CENTER — A fire broke out in the boiler room and was extinguished by a burst water pipe.
WAL-MART — A woman was arrested for taking another woman's wallet.
COPPER BEECH — A man said someone painted profanity on his black car with yellow paint.
Bulloch Sheriff's Incidents
GA. 46 — (Pembroke) A man said he and a woman argued about his being an alcoholic.
BRANNEN ROAD — (Statesboro) A woman said a man harasses her by calling after she asked him to stop.

Animal Shelter Reports
The Statesboro-Bulloch County Animal Shelter reported the following activity for the week of Sept. 1-9 :
Animals received:
Rural county areas, Bulloch Humane Enforcement — 12 dogs and 13 cats.
Statesboro city limits, Bulloch Humane Enforcement — six dogs and 12 cats.
Abandoned at shelter — four dogs and a cat.
Surrendered by citizens — four dogs and five cats.
Number in litters surrendered — eight puppies and 21 kittens.
Animals out:
Shelter adoptions — four dogs and three cats.
Pets & People adoptions — 11 dogs.
Returned to owners — six dogs.
Died at shelter — one cat.
Euthanized — 17 dogs and 23 cats.
Humane Enforcement calls:
Owl complaints — one.
Snake complaints — three.
Court summons/citations — six.
Warnings — seven.
Money collected:
Adoption fees — $630.
Surrender fees — $40.
Returned animal fines — $160.
